I just printed out all 8 chapters of my manuscript (each is a separate Word
document). The pagination of each chapter picks up where the previous one
left off. While going through the digital file of the chapters putting in the
pages numbers in the table of contents of the various subheadings, I notice
that the page numbers in digital file no longer correspond to the printed out
version. By page 428, it's off by 6 pages!
Now I recall this also happened on the second draft of my manuscript. I
have made no further revisions to the text since printing it out. What causes
the text to shift around like this, and how can I prevent it?
I am using Word 2002 on WXP Media Edition 2005.
Thanks.
