Word, Tools, Track changes, does not save when close out and save

There seems to be a bug in word 2003 - track changes. After changes were made
I x'd out - closed out and was promted to save yes or no - I hit yes save but
it did not. Searched my entire hard drive but my work- changes were not
saved. This should be fixed.

If you saved the file with changes, they were saved. If not, the problem is
not in Word. If you were tracking changes, is it possible you're just
looking at the wrong view? Unless you have accepted the changes, they are
not permanent.
