Word viewer?

My sister has WinXP (and a newer verison of Word, but not sure which).

I have Win98 and only use wordpad.exe for my docs.

In the past, when I needed to read doc files, I used to be able to read all fine but
apparently WordView97
can't read newer versions.

Is their a newer version of WordView?

If not, is there some kind of convertor my sister can use on a doc before I get it from
her that will make it compatible with Word97?

OR is there another, simple option?
