Word wants to access the internet ????

I just started have a new problem which I have now seen on 4 different
systems 2 on same network. One at another physicl location with no tie
to the 1st two. I have Zone Alarm Pro. Every time I open Word it wants
to access the net. I know this because Zone Alarm tells me, then
several different parts of my Norton Antivirus program want to access
the net. This happens even when I am loading a blank page. The has
never happened in the past, just in the last 12 hours. The only time I
used to see the net access request in Word used ONLY occure when I
would cut and past a web page on to my document.

Has any body had this start happening to them. I have Norton NAV Pro
2k3. I am up to dateon ptches.

Any Ideas will be very helpful.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I though that NAV was the
problem. It seemed to occure just after the last NAV update. I hope
they fix it SOON, and are willing to admit their error on thier Home
page. Microsoft should also post a notice of this problem in BIG bold
lettering on their home page too.
