Word/webpage text not wrapping

J

I am trying to use a previous document to produce a HTML document using word.
When i produce the HTML file, save it and open with a web browser, each
paragraph of text continues on one line until complete. Is there any way to
set it up, so the text will automatically wrap to the size of the browsers
screen so people will not have to scroll to the right to read the text?

IMHO, you should insert a table. Set the table to something like 75% width
(Table-->Properties). Put your text inside the table cell. That way, it's
75% of the screen, no matter whose screen it's on. I like to build my
FrontPage webs that way too.

I set up a table that was at 75% width, centered, and inserted my text. when
i change the width of MS word, the table size changes and therefor the text
wraps to width necessary. but when i open the same file with explorer, it
does not only take up 75% of the screen... any ideas?

When i view the HTML source it does say under the table properties 75%. I am
not changing the margins in word, but am changing the window size, which does
change the size of the table inside. when opening up the file with explorer,
the file still opens wider then the window.

This all depends on your screen resolution, jkyes. Try setting the table
width to EXACTLY 4" or something. See... I have no idea what you want
because you've only said "it's too wide". 75% should ONLY fill 75% of your
browser window. If it's not working, what's your browser? Is your browser
window sized to fit your screen? Or are you opening the HTML file in Word?
Or what?

Hi J.,

What version/build of Word are you using (from Help=>About)?

If you use File=>Web page preview text typed in Word that does
not have a hard (typed) return it should, by default, wrap
when you resize the Internet Explorer browser window.

How are you entering the text?
How does it look in print layout view and in Web layout view
as far as wrapping?

Is the font you're using one that you can successfully spell check
to locate an intentionally incorrectly spelled word?

I am having the exact same problem and cannot for the life of me figure it
out. Did you figure it out yet? I know exactly what you are talking about.
Thanks.
