WORD will not open files, error: The file ___ is not available.

"The file ___ is not available" This is the error message.

WORD will not open any file, even a file that was just created in WORD. The
same WORD files work on other computers.

Microsoft Office has been reloaded. Norton Utilities was ran. Windows XP
service pak 2 was loaded, but nothing helped.

Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Norton/Symantec Antivirus. See
