Word will not open on my computer

Every time I try and open a word document my computer will not allow me to do
so. It shows the Microsoft Word 2000 pop up and that's all. I have tried
several methods for opening them but to no avail. Please Help

Have you tried to go to

settings/control/addremoveprograms. and try to fix the
current software youhave downloaded on your computer now.
