I've never had a problem with Word 2000 until today. I
normally go to My Documents and click on any given word
file to open. However, today I get a warning about my
resources being dangerously low. All of the start menu
selections disappear. I have no option but to turn the
power off and restart the system. I have discovered that
I can open Word via the Microsoft Works Task Launcher and
then open the files I want in My Documents. But the other
way around (clicking on the file in My Documents first)
drains my resources. The problems also arises if I
select "Open Office Document" from the start menu. Is
there a fix for this problem?
