word won't open

Been using the word program on this computer since Aug
03. Not used it for a couple of weeks. Tried to get into
it today and get a message that it is not installed. It
is listed as installed on the list of programs. have not
yet tried re-installing it as concerned that it does not
explain why it should suddenly do this and may make
things worse. The program was registered when installed
so I don't think it can be unlicensed with an automatic
cut off. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem I have tried reinstalling my
registered copy of word but when it opens it gives me the
error "this application must be installed to run". I get
in Word itself and even I can even choose to load a blank
or existing document but then I receive the error message..
