Word X for Mac crashing often

I'm using Word X for Mac on a PowerPC G4 Macintosh running OS X version
10.3.5, and am finding that Word is quitting/crashing a lot. It seems very
unstable in this system environment (Mac OS X). Is there any known bugs, and
known fixes to increase Word Xs stability?

Apologies if I'm addressing an issues raised elsewhere. I wasn't able to see
any other posts on this issue.
