I have a user running XP Pro SP-2, with Office XP SP-3.
Every time she start word...and only word, she gets the
following error message--- "The drive or network
connection 'Int-Jr.exe.lnk' refers to is no longer
valid....". This is a very ancient peice of software used
for screensavers in WFW 3.11. I have tried uninstalling
the software to no avail. I have also uninstalled word
xp, and reinstalled it as a component, also to no avail.
Why would word be calling an outside link to a dead
executable? And, where does it look for this info? I have
removed all instances of this from the registry. It also
only happens when logged into Windows as the user (Power
User) but not when logged in using an administrator
account. Any ideas???? Please help, this is really
bugging me. I managed to create another user and log into
her profile without the message popping up, but this can
only be a temporary fix.
