Word XP document impossible to save

No way to save or save as my word documents.

The only way is to lose everything. Even when exiting
word, at the prompt window indicating do you want to
save, yes, no, exit; the yes button does not work. the
only way is then to exit.

could amybody help me please.

Have you activated the software? Choose Activate Product from the Help menu.
If you have already activated, you'll get a message to this effect.
Otherwise, the activation process will begin.
