word xp hangs and crashes, when I click scroll tab

Hi!
My word hangs and closes all other word windows, when I
try to scroll it with side scroll tab. i does not when i
use any other method...weird, I don't feel like
reinstalling it, couse i will loose my spell check and
dictionary, which was carefully adjusted by me. is there
solution? this happens only with certain documents i
create. somethimes my word starts to use like 98% of
processor when i open a file which sholudn't use small
percentile. any guess what these may be?

Hi Lukas,

It could be the video driver. Start Windows in Safe Mode and see if
the error still occurs. If not then obtain an updated graphics driver
from the manufacturer's web site and see if that resolves the issue.

Note that reinstalling seldom resolves problems. Since you use Word
2002 you can use Help/Detect and Repair if you think the issue is an
installation issue. Also, if you do reinstalled your personal
preferences are preserved.
