At my workplace, we upgraded a user from Word 2000 to
Word XP. He was getting that ignorant, Microsoft-
inspired, "macro's are being disabled" error message and
he tried to fix it himself. I'm not sure what he did,
but now if you try to open Word, it says that Word has
encountered a serious error and would you like to start
in safe mode? If you say yes, it comes up in safe mode.
If you say no, you get that "send error report to
Microsoft" message. I've tried un-installing and re-
installing, nothing. I've tried the "detect and repair"
function in both Word and from the Office XP CD, no help
there. I've deleted the "normal.dot" file, nothing
again. Interestingly enough, I can log in under
the "Administrator" account and Word works fine! And to
top it off, this user IS an Administrator of his local
pc! Unbelievable....
Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated!
