Word AppCrash

I have Vista and have had it for about 2 years. I have Office home and it
has been fine. When I try to open a word document, either one that I have
saved or one that has come in thru email, I have issues. I can open the
document but it shows no text. If I go to word / open / I can see the
documents there. I get the following message from Word. I am very basic
user, so simple easy solutions would be great
Thanks

That's usually because the wrong version of wwlib.dll has been found. Run
all the Windows and Office Updates and it should be sorted.

So far so good, the regedit does fix the problem, I was able o fix greater
than 10 machines by running a script to remove the Data entry. All is good,
Thanks all for not giving up.

What, exactly, doesn't work? In the Start | Run dialog box, type regedit and
press Enter to start the registry editor. Can you then find the Data key?
The "compelete" key name is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data if you are using
Word 2007 (for Word 2003, change the version number to 11.0).
