Word2000 dialogs sometimes appear *under* main window

In Word 2000, sometimes a dialog window will appear under the main
application window, and hence be completely invisible.

The titlebar and taskbar entry will flash orange. I can only (I think) get
it back by minimizing the main window, and then restoring it.

Any Idea what's going on? I'm on Win XP Pro SP2
