Word2000/MicroOfffice20001&2 upgrade disks

Hi there I have just upgraded to WindowsXP and since I
bought home the tower to install my two disks as
mentioned above to use WORD I get the rebuttal.
The MicroOffice person gave my a code number however it
will not work and it will not allow me to install the
disks

What do I do, can someone HELP me please.

Upgrade disks need a qualifying application before you can install. What
error or at what stage of the installation is this failing?
