Word2007 should have a personal text-snipit "library" for writers

Word 2007 needs a text snipit library like the one in Adobe Indesign CS 2.
This would allow someone to drag a sentence, paragraph or other object into a
sidebar for future usage. Like a Clipboard with a save feature.

Just an Idea.

That's weird. Office 2003 has a special Office Clipboard (on the Edit menu),
which does exactly that - so that you can copy a number of different
selections without losing them. Has this feature gone from Office 2007?

That's progress for ya! :)

It’s true office 2003 and 2007 have a clipboard feature that you can cut and
paste from, but what I would like to see is a Snip-it library file-type that
you could use in conjunction with Word documents. Once shutdown you computer
the clipboard is erased. I would like to see a feature like the clipboard
that you could use over and over. You could even have different libraries
for different documents.

I have just discovered "Quick Parts", built in to Office 2007, which appear
to give you exactly what you asked for. Have a play with it - it's on the
Insert ribbon in the Text section. Look for the Quick Parts menu...

Good, eh?
