Brand new system; WIN XP Home (2002) Edition with fully updated MS OFFICE 97
Pro Edit installed and Publisher 98 from Office 97 Small Business Edit
installed seperately (As not included in Office 97 Pro Edit), Outlook,
Powerpoint Excel Access & Pub 98 APPEAR to operate OK just as they did on my
WIN 98 programmed Laptop which I have now discarded. WORD however when
clicked makes screen blank for about 2 secs before it appears and colours go
strange on bottom toolbar when it does appear. When you save work to, ie: My
Doc, an Error Message appears with Apology (at loss of work !!) When closing
work the 'Do you want to save etc etc' never appears and when WORD Closed
again the screen goes blank completely for 2 secs or so - Is this REALLY a
scam to get me to move into the 21st Century and buy the up to date versions
or is it cureable ?? If so HOW?
Thanks to those who helped me with solution to SpellCheck in OE on this
system - this at least works fine now!
