Word97 - Word cannot open the graphic file.

I was sent a Word97 file with text and hyperlinks in it. When I (and the
other person) open it I get Word cannot open the graphics file. There are
and should not be any graphics in the file. any ideas what is causing the
problem? Is there a view I can use that would show a possible graphic that
is not being displayed?

It sounds as though the document was corrupted during transmission. Try
opening it in a text editor such as WordPad or use the Recover Text from Any
File option. One way to help this from happening again is to ZIP the file
before transmission.
