WordArt not Displaying

Powerpoint 2007 WordArt feature does not display (preview) any graphics when
I want to select an option. Click on Insert, select WordArt and the dropdown
box which is displayed is white with not text or graphics inside it. There
should be a selection displaying various "A"'s. I can click on any of the
white blocks that appear and it will select and correctly display on the work
page, the selected WordArt option.

I have tried doing a repair also tried uninstalling and re-installing Office
2007 (custom install, selected all add-ons etc.) Checked Word and Excel, both
WordArt features are working correctly , problem only in Powerpoint.

Still got the same problem.

Steve,

It is 2007...

I've just checked on a VM with a "Generic / Text Only" printer... No
WordArt, No Bullets, No...

If I make some screenshots... of how Bullets are not there or WordArt
samples are not there... would you kindly put them somewhere?

;-)

@ Kyle,

Thanks, Kyle!

WM started in Safe Mode --> WordArt icons appear... I go to Settings >
Printers and faxes... there is nothing there... no printers...

Very cordialmente

Enric

Kyle,
Sorry, didnt get your post Enric?

I'm sorry, I was on a hurry...

Please check...

PowerPoint 2007 text editing slow, text cut off, text display or formatting
problems, print, crash problems
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00850.htm

With WordArt is the same case as with... "Bullet styles gallery blank or
partially blank, bulleted text gets cut off"

And, please, install the HP LaserJet 4V/4MV printer as shown in

How to install a TEST printer driver
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00952.htm

Solved?

;-)

Very cordialmente

Setting up a printer worked, but this should never be the solution to an
obvious problem within PowerPoint, I have other machines with no printers
installed and WordArt shows up!
I think Microsoft should sort this out ASAP.

Certainly.

Write me up a few notes to go around and I'll take it from there.

Kyle,

"Of course it could be argued that PPT might be ... SHOULD be ... a WEE bit
less neurotic about printer driver specifics. MS realizes that this is a
problem."
