Hi Annie,
Try the following to see if it assists
1) Open registry editor
2) Navigate to the following key in the registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Applets\Wordpad
3) Delete the wordpad registry key.
4) Open up wordpad, - the registry key is replaced and Wordpad should work
fine.
