Words cannot be typed in the body of a new mail message:

Words to not appear in the body of a new mail message:

When I want to create a new message, I can insert the the person's address
in the TO field from my contacts (or type it) and I can also type in the
Subject line, but I am unable to type in the body of the message using the
keyboard. When I type in the body of the message, all that appears is a blank
for keystrokes or sometimes a faint yellow line instead of words. This is
very frustrating as I cannot create and thus send any new messages. However,
I can open a message sent to me and reply by typing the message without any
problem, but just can't type when creating a new mail message. Help!

Check your zoom, perhaps it's accidentally set everything in a new mail
message so small you can barely see it.

The zoom was okay. But, that set me to trying other things like the Font
Color button which when re-clicked to automatic black fixed the problem. And,
I eliminated the highlight color button just in case. However, I have to
re-click the Font Color button everytime I create a new message. That's okay
for now, at least I can send messages. Thanks for your help

Have you set your font using the Tools > Options portion in Outlook? Are you
using any stationery perhaps?
