Word's gone weird on me!

When I open a document a button object for that document activates in
the task bar, but the Word + document window doesn't pop up. I have to
right click on it in the task bar & choose Maximise to see it. Then
the Restore button that should give me a smaller Word window, instead
minimizes the window down to the taskbar, but leaves it active
("pressed in") unlike the Minimize command. It's as if the size window
it's trying to restore is so small it can only fit on the taskbar.

Most likely cause is that the "window" is located off screen. After
clicking "Restore" r-click it and select "Move" and use the arrow keys
to pop it back, or r-click the Taskbar and select Tile or Cascade
windows to return the "window" to the viewable desktop.
