WordWorkFile not being deleted

Users saving OS X Word files on a NetWare server complain that Word
leaves a bunch of WordWorkFile D_X (where D_X is a number). Does anybody
know why Word won't earse these files after closing the original? This
doesn't happen if they save the files on their hard drives. Thanks for
any advice you can provide.

A) Does this happen on any other servers? Mac OS X AFP/Windows SFM (AFP)/Mac
OS X SMB/Windows SMB?

B) Does this happen with users using Word 2004? (If you don't have copies of
2004 you can download the Test Drive from the Mactopia website)

This issue points to the fact that users don't have access to the "Temporary
Items" folder on the root of the shared volume. There were changes in 2004
to improve the situation but without this access set correctly these files
will be created next to the documents saved on servers.
