John was assigned 50% to Proj-A, 35% to Proj-B. His assignment to Proj-A is 84 hours with a 21 day duration. His assignment to Proj-B is 70 hours.
The 1st week (task started 4/19) he submits a timesheet on 4/23 reporting 3 hours actual and 1 hour remaining. When the PM looks at the submitted timesheet (not approved yet), we're seeing the Work under Proj-A task for John showing as 157 hours
No actual work was reported for Proj-B
I cannot understand how it came up with 157, all against Proj-A?
Arithmetically 157 is (84 + 70 + 3 meaning assignment to Proj-A + Assignment to Proj-B + Actual reported against Proj-A) but summing these and showing as Work under Proj-A doesn't make sense.
One other fact is: before any time was submitted PM went and marked the Proj-A task under question 3% complete
Can anyone help with an explanation what we are doing wrong
