Work submitted but not accepted by Status Mgr or PM

Over the past few months, we've had some attrition in the ranks of our
Status Managers and Project Managers. We find ourselves viewing some
discrepancies between timesheet data and project data in terms of
Actual Work. What we suspect is happening is our now-departed folks
left task updates out there unaccepted.

How would we be able to see task updates which have been submitted via
My Tasks, but not approved by the Status Manager or Project Manager? I
know I can't see this in Data Analysis or Project views, as the data
clearly would not be in the Published database.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

We've done more digging, and have made an interesting discovery. There
is a mismatch between data in the timephased views (and OLAP cubes)
and non-timephased views.

An example:

- One of our projects has 158 hours of Actual Work entered on it. We
see this in Project Pro>Task Usage, as well as everywhere else we see
Actual Work in Project Pro.
- The same project has 158 hours of Actual Work on it in PWA>Project
Center as well as in Project views in PWA.
- The same project has 158 hours of Actual Work on it in non-
timephased cubes in Data Analysis (Task Non-timephased, Assignment Non-
timephased, etc)
- The same project has 0 hours of Actual Work in the timephased cubes
in Data Analysis (MSP_Portfolio_Analyzer, etc)

The project has been published recently (about an hour ago), all task
updates and timesheets have been submitted and accepted.

Any thoughts on what might be happening here?
