Work time differences within PWS

I have Server 2003 SP2a while viewing in the task view a task shows
Actual Work 0 and Remaining Work 48. But within the View Adjust
Actuals, this same task shows Remaining Work at 40. Does anyone know
why this could be. Within Pro the values at 48 & 0

Are there pending subimissions on the user's timesheet? Are there unaccepted
updates pending for the project?
