Hi guys and gals!
I'm really at a loss here and I'm really hoping someone can help out.
I am going to try to explain what I am looking for at the best of m
ability.
First of all, I am no expert in project. If I was, I wouldn't be her
today. So bare with me.
I am teaching a basic course on how to use Microsoft Project 2007 to
class of about 14 students. These people work at a mine, which run
24/7.
What they would like to know, specifically, is how to make that a wor
day is 11 hours, as they have two 11 hour shifts per day. (One hour o
non-working time between them). They would also like the working hours
as well as the slack (non-working time) to reflect in the Gantt Char
and the task list. Here is an example of why they want this ...
Lets say a task is scheduled to take 1 day. (In this case, = 11 hrs.
They would like the slack time (non-working time) to show up because i
that particular task is not complete within the planned 11hrs, the
would like to be able to make the task slip into the 1hr of non-workin
time between the two 11hr shifts.
I hope this is somewhat followable... I tried my best at explainin
what they want.
Any Ideas?
Thanks!
