Day([your date/time field])

The name of the day
Format(Date(), "ddd") or Format(Date(),"dddd")

The weekday number ---1 to 7 (Sunday to Saturday)
Weekday(Date())

The day of the month --- 1 to 31
Day(Date())

The day of the year --- 1 to 366
DatePart("y",Date())

By the way, DatePart can be used to get the Weekday number and the day
number of the month.
