Working with Databases in FrontPage 2003

Can anyone give me some advice on being able to work with
databases? If I am working with the development version
of my website, disk based as I opened it from my hard
drive, then the database functionality is not available.
So, I opened the production/published website and was able
to utilize the database functions. However, this presents
a problem in that I really liked being able to have my
entire website as a self-contained object on my
development machine just in case something happened to my
production server, or I wanted to relocate where the
website was being published to. If I must always open the
published website to be able to utilize the database
functions, then how do I ever get my production and
development websites in synch?

Thanks in advance!

Tim

Hi Tim,

If you have W2K Pro or WXP Pro then you can install IIS and the FP Server
Extensions. From there you can run the database functionality locally.
Otherwise you'll have to run it on the production server.
