Working with selected items in OneNote

How do I permanently join together two or more selected items in OneNote? For
example, the two selected items might be selected using the lasso tool.

Unfortunately no way.
ON does not have the feature of grouping (anchoring) objects.

It's one the most asked for features, AFAICS.
