works 4.0

I have been using Microsoft Works 4.0 on an iMac for years. I now bought a
Mac G5 which has Microsoft Office 2004 for the Mac version 11.0. I have not
been able to effectively open any of my documents on the new computer. I am
hoping someone can direct me to software, compatible with OS X, which will
allow access to my files including a book I am writing and my address files
in a data base.

I also have Appleworks 6.2.9 on the computer.

DataViz has conversion software that I think handles Works 4.0.

But presumably you still have your iMac? Though I'm not familiar with
Works, I'd think you should be able to save your Works documents in a format
that Word and Excel (or AppleWorks or TextEdit) can open, probably RTF or
plain text or delimited text file.
