Word X for Mac OS X "unexpectedly quits" every time I try to open a
Works 4.0 for Macintosh W/P file. The File:Open dialog has an "Enable"
popup menu that includes Works 4.0 for Macintosh files. I believe
that this file converter was included as an extra on the Office X CD.
But when I use this to try to open a Works 4.0 file, Word X
"unexpectedly quits" every time. The same thing happens if I trying
opening any Works 4.0 W/P file specifying instead "all readable
files". There's nothing wrong with the files I'm trying to open, they
open correctly in Works 4.0 and in Word 98. I'd appreciate any advice
anyone can give me about this.
