It's not a good idea these days to include your real email address in a newsgroup post. You may end up finding a large increase of spam and viruses inbox.
Also, the way newsgroups work effectively is to post all replies in the newgroups rather than resolve an issue in email. This way everyone in the group is able to benefit from the discussion and it will be archived for those searching the newsgroups trying to find an answer to their question.
If the reason you are requesting an email is to be notified of Reponses to your posts then use the new web interface on the Microsoft site which includes a notification feature:
