Worksheet from Germany

Dieter

I have a large worksheet from Germany. All numbers are ##,## format and do
not work with formulas. I need to change the format to ##.## in order to work
with my formula. How can I do that?

Dieter,

You could try Tools / Options / International tab, and UNCheck "Use system separators" and then put
, as the decimal separator. Try setting that before opening the workbook.

If that doesn't work, try selecting all the cells and using Search/Replace - replacing , with .
Then you may also need to format the cells as number, and multiply the resulting values by 1 to get
them to be treated as numbers.
