worksheet protectoin

some one pls guide me abt the following

my workbook has 3 sheets and sharing is also enabled along with protection (range defined)

when i unprotect the sheet and try to change the data in the range which i selected earlier,, it says that it cant be done due the sheet is already protected...


why is that?
