Worksheets that cannot stand to be different!

Hello All,

I'm not sure this is the right forum so please direct me
else where if its not but...

I have taken on a spreadsheet from a co worker and I have
no idea how he has set up this file. When highlighting a
cell, for example I-18, every single I18 on every page of
the work book is then highlighted in the same colour.
It's the same with entering numbers, except the numbers
he has entered are different, when I enter them they
duplicate in the same box throughout the work book. Any
ideas on how he has done this and what to do to rectify
it?

Any help would be appreciated

have you macros enabled?. Could be an event procedure. Another option
is that all sheets are grouped or that all cells on the other sheets
contain a formula

Or maybe an app version problem? Sounds familiar, but ...
