Workspace for this project doesn't exist...

In Project Server 2007, I create the plan, saved and published it. However,
when I go into PWA to try and open the workspace I receive the message:
The Workspace dof this project does not exist. Either the provisioning mode
requires users to manually create workspaces or the automatic provisioning is
still creating this site.
I performed this task several times so what is perhaps happening now?
Thanks in advance!

If you navigate to the Project Web Access home page, what happens when you
click the link for this project in the Project Workspaces section? By
chance, do you get an "Access denied" error message? If not, what happens?
Let us know.

Hi Dale, in PWA when I click the link for the project I don't get access
denied I just get that error message. I assume that the workspace is created
because from Project I tell it to publish the file. Then when I go into PWA
I see the project however, when I click on the link I receive the error
message. Can't figure it out.

Precisely what I thought! I believe that when Project Server 2007 was
creating the Project Workspace, the creation process failed before
completion. There should be an error message in the Queue in regards to
this on a Workspace Create job. We see this occasionally in class when
multiple people publish their projects simultaneously. Ask your Project
Server administrator to do the following to rectify this situation:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions.
2. Click Server Settings - Project Workspaces.
3. Select the name of the failed Project Workspace.
4. Click the Delete Site button.
5. Click the Create Site button to manually create a new site.

This should resolve your problem. Let us know if it helps.
