Workspace members appear offline

I have to user in a workspace and on each machine the other user appears
offline, but on their machine they appear to be in the workspace. What is
the problem and how do I get both user to appear in the workspace?

I solved this, in that users must be on the same version of windows and must
have seperate external Ip's can't be behind router or firewall since server
only see's one ip address.
