World throws me out

Founding the same kind of problem of your lists, but couldn't find the answer:

"I get the message “Microsoft Office Word has stopped working, Microsoft is
searching for a solution to the problem†followed by “Microsoft Office Word
is restarting.†After it restarts it works for few moments and doing that
again.
The program has been used about one year now!

Disaster, doing my Master Thesis and with a hurry.

Corrupted?

All the protection is in order.

I got a hint: unload - reload "the box" (= Office Home and Student 2007).

Please, it that the only solution, do I have to to something more without
to be afraid losing my files?

Uninstalling/Reinstalling is invariably a total waste of time.

Does this happen for all documents or just your thesis?
What is your OS?
Are both OS and Office fully patched up to date?
Does Word stop working as soon as you open it (or open any document) or is
it crashing whilst you work?

Does it still crash if you start Word in Safe Mode? From Start | Run
(Winkey+R), type in

winword /a

and press Enter. Can you open and edit documents now?

I have the same problem, it happens for all documents, everthing is up to
date. Word stops working when I open it for all documents. It does the same
in safe mode. I have an outlook email account with word as the editor, so I
get the error message when I start outlook.

Excel works fine so I expect it is a word probem.

thanks Terry, you are correct on the printer issue. It could not see the home
network computer. I have a problem with the way my network is set up
hardwired. When I swithced to wireless it works fine.

thanks
