would be nice to see in ON

Suppose I have the "my notebook" folder on a flash drive.
When I open ON, I can see the flies, sheets and so on and browse with the
tabs in ON.

Now, suppose I copy another folder which have files oter than one note
files:
like mp3s, pdfs and son.
It could be nice if i could see the content of the folder in ON.
By this way, I will not need to use windows classical folder browser
to see the content but use ON diretly to browse the files "through the
tabs"!

This is exactly the suggestion I had after using OneNote for 5 minutes.
Better integration with the native Windows Explorer file system is a
no brainer. The MVP party line is to just use Windows Explorer b/c
OneNote is for notes. I think OneNote needs to aim higher.

How do you mean "aim higher"? Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and all of the
other products you want OneNote to mimic do not have this feature.

OneNote needs to be something more than *JUST* a place to store some
notes.
That is what I mean by aiming higher.

If OneNote doesnt integrate better with the Windows Filesystem that
will be a horrible mistake.
Nevertheless, I have some hope for OneNote 2.0 after reading some
extensibility of Owen's Blog. Sadly, I dont think VBA will be coming
to OneNote.

Again, you're trying to make something of OneNote which it isn't intended to
do. Try to get the concept of the program in mind.

I am curious, how would you like the other files to appear? As tabs (one
tab per file)? As a single tab containing all the files? Something else?
Keep in mind that no matter what, it's extremely unlikely that OneNote
would be able to render the actual content of the files. It is also
unlikely that it could even begin to approach the functionality offered
by explorer when it comes to displaying lists of files. But if you have
other ideas, perhaps you could elaborate? Maybe post a mockup of what
you would like to see?

Ok maybe this claim is a bit too much.
By the way, when will we have a new version of ON?
When will we see new features?

Officially new version is expected sometime 3Q next year, but like all
software early in the development cycle it's hard to pin down an exact date
or guarantee a specific time.

Do you read Chris Pratley's and Owen Braun's blogs?

There's heaps of info there on the next version.
