Do you have a link to an "official Microsoft statement" that indicates
"LightSwitch is a replacement for MS Access"? Comment/speculation in a
third party's website doesn't cut it.

Have you even bothered to look at LightSwitch? (From what you write, I
suspected you had not, but it may be that you just don't process information
rationally.) It has a very different model (or object model) and it doesn't
have end-user features and functions. I'd say that makes it an unlikely,
improbable candidate as a replacement.

On the other hand, its "visual" mode of development, based on dragging,
dropping, and connecting pre-made objects might be just about your level.

Yes, I've used it extensively. I love it... it's the first product
that can build web interfaces that are superior to what we could do
with 'Data Access Pages'.

It doesn't have end-user features and functions.. Oh that's funny, it
took me about 30 seconds to figure out how to write functions in this
product.

I cringe to think of what kinds of "database" applications will be
incubated by LightSwitch, but I welcome the opportunity to help turn
new database ideas into solid software products. I'm not sure what
I'd do if they insist that future development stays in LightSwitch.

Different kind of "functions", Mr. Kempf. Surely you cannot really be quite
as dense as you appear. It is not an end-user product. Are you contending
that it _IS_ an end-user product?

You still are unconvincing that you have explored it, but, if you have, I
suspected you would like its drag-and-drop modus operandi.

Yes, it is EASIER to use than MS Access, and it doesn't CORRUPT DATA.

drag and drop.. that's funny you should talk shit about that.

YOU are the one that only knows how to write queries via drag and
drop, u friggin Access crybaby

Aaron, what Larry meant was that it isn't an application, but an
application development tool. That is, you can't open it and start
entering data. All it's good for is creating applications, so it
doesn't have any "end-user features and functions."

But, of course, you know this. You're just trying to make trouble.

Too bad we can't discipline you here like happens on

Don't know who you are, Frank. But, if you've been around these newsgroups
more than just a few times, you'd know that the troll here is Mr. Kempf...
he comes around to the Access newsgroups just to belittle and denigrate
Access. He knows little enough about the product he chooses to promote,
less about Access, and even less about Microsoft's plans for the future. No
need to go into his difficulties with the law for cyberstalking (a matter of
public record in the state of Washington court data on the internet... if
you are really interested, googling the back posts here should get you a
hyperlink).

Welcome to the newsgroups. How can we help you?

As Larry states Aaron has a very long and unsavoury history in this
and other newsgroups including pleading guilty to cyber stalking.

For example I did a search on his name and the first URL is to
http://help.lockergnome.com/office2/Aaron-Kempf--ftopict801359.html.
Now do a search on that page for "Now stop stalking me" and view the
next word Aaron uses. That right there tells you all you need to
know about Aaron.

I do have a great deal of sympathy fo the other Aaron Kempfs on the
Internet. Any search will bring up this Aaron's history. This could
possibly hamper their job prospects, etc.

You've never built DAP, ADP, or Access Web Apps. ROFL. Lose the

The references to official State of Washington court records have been
posted many times. Give it up, Mr. Kempf, and quit forging dates on old,
old, old posts...

You replied to a post from David Fenton, who had been deceased (and, thus,
unlikely to be posting) for quite some time before the March 7, 2012 date of
your response.

If there is any justice, Mr. Fenton's ghost will haunt you, and leave you
sobbing, blubbering, whimpering, frightened, and cowering beneath the
furniture to try to hide from him. The only thing that may save you,
though, is that, in life, he regarded you as beneath his notice unless you'd
posted erroneous information that he had to correct.

I retract my accusation of "forging dates"; I suspect that it is just a
matter of your being too dull to check that you are responding to current
posts.
