wrap text not working

I have a cell in Excel that has a lot of text in it. I
formatted the cell to wrap text. I've changed the row
and column height but it still isn't working. All the
text is there but it doesn't appear at the bottom. If I
make the row height higher, it only shows blank lines and
still the text is shifted down.
On occasion, I've been able to expand the column width
but that isn't the solution in this document. Any
suggestions?

Use a text box instead of a cell. You can align the text box borders with
the cell borders by holding down the Alt key as you move each border. Text
boxes act more like Word documents, and automatically wrap text. You can
also make the text box larger than one cell.

I ran into the same problem a couple of weeks ago, and I
believe that it is due to the cell limitations. If you
look up "Excel specifications and limits" in the help
menu, it lists a chart of limitations. Under "Length of
cell contents (text)" it states the maximum cell limit
is "32,767 characters. Only 1,024 display in a cell; all
32,767 display in the formula bar."

Annoying, I know, but I don't know if there is some kind
of workaround, except splitting some text into a new cell.
