wrapping graphics

Dear Word Guru,

When I boot Word-2002, I get this text box that
says "This file contains macros with an expired or
revoked signature. Since you are running under high
Security Level, these macros will be disabled." Now, I
don't know why I get this, or what it will do; but, it
seems possible that it will effect the real problem I'm
facing, which is that when I insert a text-box (in or out
of a canvas) and I try to wrap text - it just doesn't
happen. I can succesfully use other formatting options:
overlay, underlay, inline; but not wrap. UGGH! I need
WRAP! HELP!

Thanks,

Tom

Go to Tools | Macro | Security and change the security level to Medium. Then
you'll get a message that will allow you to Enable or Disable macros as you
see fit. But it's unlikely that having macros disabled is causing your
current problem. Are you trying to wrap text *around* the text box or inside
it? You can't wrap text in a text box around objects in a text box if that's
what you're trying to do.

Susann,

Thank you for your help. I've changed the security
level to medium, now the system prompts me as to whether
I want to enable macros - I assume it won't do that if I
lower the security further.

Unfortunately, this hasen't solved the wrap-text
problem. So: I select textbox (whose dimesions are small
compared to the page) from the toolbar, position it over
existing text, and if I select the square or tight layout
(intended to wrap text) the text doesn't wrap, instead,
it divides top-and-bottom to accomodate the box -you end
up with nothing but white space to the right and left of
the the box. Again, the behind text, in front of text,
in line with text options seem well behaved.

Is there room for text to wrap? In earlier versions of Word, a clear 1" on
either side of a frame was required for text wrapping. And have you selected
"Both sides," "Largest side," or whatever is appropriate? Do you need to
reduce the distance from text?
