Wrapping

G

George Garmon

After entering 40 pages of text and scanned materials
(articles, pictures, etc.)in my document with no problems -
MS Word and ME Operating System - I started getting the
following message whenever I attempt to wrap text around a
scanned object:

"The server application, source file, or item cannot be
found. Make sure the application is properly installed,
and that it has not been deleted, moved or renamed."

This is all Greek to me. I have no idea what to do. It
will be very much appreciated if someone will walk me
through the procedures necessary to correct the problem
and re-enable me to wrap text around scanned objects.

Thank you.

Hi George,

Unfortunately, you neglect to mention the version of Word.
Please check in "Help/About". We also need to know what SR
(or SP) is installed.

Note 1: I wouldn't expect this message to appear when using
Format/Object. It should more like something that could
happen when you've *double-clicked* an object.

Note 2: This message only appears with something called "OLE
objects". This means the objects are still linked to the
application in which they orginated. Pictures usually would
not require this. And such object will greatly bloat file
size and if there are a lot could also affect file stability.
You might try clicking once, then pressing Ctrl+Shift+F9 to
turn these into "plain pictures".
