Access 2000, SQL Server 2000
Scenario:
-One user spends half an hour in one record entering text into a number of
'comments' fields.
-Just before this user finishes a second user opens the record and makes a
very minor change in one field
-The first user closes the record
-The second user closes the record. Gets a 'write conflict' error and
decides to save the record over-writing the first user's changes.
How do other people manage such a scenario, and avoid user's overwriting
other people's changes. It is possible to customise the write conflict
error, display who the other user was that changed the record etc?
Any help appreciated.
