write only format

Hello,
I have a presentation of approx 250MB. My computer has 1G of Ram. I was
told that if I change my presentation to a write only format it would open
much quicker.
If I do that, how do I change it back so I can edit it?
Thanks!

What exactly is meant by "write only format"? How did they explain that you
should do this? Sounds like bogus advice to me.

Hi BSG-

Are you sure your source didn't say "Read Only"? That can be done (and
undone) through the Save As dialog box using the Tools Button>Security
Options or through Tools>Options>Security. Both take you to the same
page where you want to set a Password to Modify. This may speed things
up a bit, but I'm not sure you'll se a radical difference.

You may also want to examine the graphics in the file. If there are any
high res .tiffs or other large image files, you might want to replace
them with 72-96 ppi .jpegs if you can. Display quality will not suffer.
Based on the file size, I'm guessing that there are a lot of oversized
images that are causing the concern.

Hope this is of some help |:>)
