writing AVI to VHS tape

Dear members,

I need to write an application that will copy all the avi files from my
computer to VHS tape.

Now i have the ATI 9600 series card in my machine
also in a day i will be able to connect a TV and a VCR to my machine.

I was wondering if there are SDK libraries that will allow me to write the
date to teh VHS. I need to have a program that would signla the user to
press teh record button and BAM the application will continue recording.
