Writing formulas

Hi,

I need to create a formula to measure overall prgress on task level:
Example: if a task has a duration of 20 days, and after 10 days the task is
still only at 10%, the indicator should turn Red. Assuming that a task should
be at 50% half way through the duration of the task.

I have no idea where to start on this one, any help, please???

Thanks

Firstly, the task should have its baseline set before any updating. Then the
actual start date needs entering and then the duration that should have been
done but hasn't should be dragged forward to when it will be done, or the
duration increased.

The finish date will then be much later than the baseline finish date and
the finish variance will say in days how much by. You can create a formula
based on the finish variance / duration for an indicator.

If you are assigning and updating resources realistically (doesn't sound
like you are) then consider Earned Value Analysis (see Project Help).
